The first month of the new 2010 year was successful for mikroblogging. Mass media informed that presidents of Russian Federation and USA left messages in social network Twitter. In the meeting with the participants of the All-Russian youth forum Russian president Dmitry Medvedev told that in that morning he communicated through Twitter with show woman Tina Kandelaki. President of USA Barack Obama visited with first lady to Red Cross and left message in Twitter.
A few days later the founder of Microsoft Bill Gates left his first message in Twitter and recognized that he wanted to know more about Twitter. The richest person in the world got almost 200.000 followers but between his friends only 40 persons among them is Barack Obama.
This information was huge advertisement for Twitter and brought liveliness between the users of this social network.
In Armenia on the contrary to Russia and USA there is no information that president or officials have twitter accounts and leave any message. In Armenia Twitter is not as popular as other social networks, especially www.odnoklassniki.ru and www.facebook.com.
